10th Jun WoodWorks Project Manager Wanted in Fife

WoodWorks is a new initiative to inspire, train and develop young people between 16 and 25 to enable them to create a living from the woods. The first course will begin with a week of  immersion on 19th July 2015 involving up to 20 young people, followed by a package of mentoring and support to help the participants set up their own woods-based enterprises. We’re now seeking workshop leaders as well as a talented Project Manager to bring this project to life.

8th Sep Hot Tap Supports ShortCUTS Dundee

Popcorn from ShortCUTs pilot

Back in 2012 we ran the pilot phase of ShortCUTS, a film­making project for 16­25 year olds in Dundee, in association with somewhereto_.  The resulting films by first­-time film­makers were screened to a packed audience and went on to be selected for major festival screenings Deep Fried Film Festival, and the Glasgow Film Festival. The project was managed on the ground by a team of somewhereto_ volunteers, including Claire Dufour, Lauren McCorkindale, Stephen Grant and Dylan Drummond. Now, the dream team are back to deliver ShortCUTS Dundee 2014 – this time under the helm of By Ricochet, the events company set up by Claire Dufour after her experience of managing ShortCUTS pilot!

22nd Jan Depot Arts, Concrete Garden and somewhereto_ Join Forces for re:store in The Imaginarium

Last summer was the year of High Street Heist, which saw somewhereto_ launch re:store in Glasgow in association with icecream architecture and us here at Hot Tap Media as part of a nationwide campaign funded by a £7m injection from The Big Lottery Fund. The idea was to reclaim the high street and offer young entrepreneurial people the opportunity to realise their ideas in creative pop up spaces all over the country – and it was a resounding success!
