As many of you will know, Hot Tap has been running somewhereto_ in Scotland for a few years now. It’s been a blast. From Freeze Frame to Re:store to Harvey Nick Nacks we’ve run some amazing projects and met some incredible young people. Hot Tap finished delivery of the project in January this year, and now somewhereto_ is nearing the end… as we know it.
From July onwards, somewhereto_ is changing. Starting with London, somewhereto_ is focusing its energy and experience on creating a sustainable business which connects amazing, versatile spaces with young creatives who bring life to the city. Livity are opening London spaces up to customers over the age of 25 to book and make their own. Every time they do this, a young person in London will receive free space in which to pursue their dreams.
It’s a model that mirrors that of our delivery of somewhereto_ in Edinburgh, where people over 25 could book space in Argyle House, giving Space Club the income to cover the cost of providing free space to young people through somewhereto_, and we were pleased to be included in the development project that led to the new model.
We’re even more delighted that somewhereto_ will continue to provide free space to young people beyond the end of the Big Lottery funding. Good luck somewhereto_2!
